With over 25 years of research experience, Dr. Alioto spent the majority of her career working in higher education and K12 to use data for improving student outcomes and institutional effectiveness. As a Technical Sales Specialist at IBM, Nicole assisted institutions in developing their understanding of the role that predictive analytics can play in their organizations. Prior to IBM, she was the Coordinator for the WSWHE BOCES Data Analysis Service, assisting 31 component districts in the analysis, interpretation, and use of data. In this role, she delivered staff development to teachers and administrators regarding student-related performance data, surveys, and classroom assessments. Previously, she was the Assistant Director of the University at Albany’s Evaluation Consortium and the Director of Institutional Research and Planning at Adirondack Community College. She currently teaches Predictive Analytics and Data Mining at Johns Hopkins University. Nicole completed her Ph.D. in Social Psychology at the University of Connecticut, focusing on attitude and behavior change. In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and playing the bassoon.  

DALLAS SINNETT, Data Science Consultant

Dallas has been a long-time technology worker, starting as a programmer but primarily as a sales engineer; first in development platforms, inventory management, business intelligence and the last 15 years in predictive analytics. Dallas has expertise in IBM SPSS Solutions and also works with R and Python programming languages. He enjoys the challenge of solving customer problems and helping them understand how to be self-sufficient with the solutions. A casual hiker, fan of film noir and books written prior to the technology age. A native of Wisconsin, currently residing in San Diego, California.

KIMBERLY HALLORAN, Research Assistant

As the assessment graduate assistant at Stony Brook University, Kimberly collected, inputted, and analyzed data for multiple groups on campus. With experience ranging from campus-wide survey distribution and analysis to specific program development and evaluation; Kimberly has expertise in the educational assessment field. With extensive experience in the higher education field, Kimberly looks forward to working closely with K-12 organizations. Kimberly completed her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, specializing in advising and consulting, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys coaching her high school cheerleading team and spending time with family.
